Here it goes – it’s the end of 2016 and the beginning of a new year! A new slate, new opportunities, and the perfect time to set those New Years Resolutions that generally don’t last but a few months.

At least with my New Years Resolution I can guarantee 30 days.

I’ve decided to do my third round of the popular diet Whole 30 – a 30 day cleanse of no sugars, alcohol, grains, legumes, dairy, carrageenan, MSG, or sulfites. The one reason I love this cleanse is that you CAN eat as many whole 30 approved foods as you want! I never feel the inner hangry bear make it’s appearance, unless I fail to prepare foods far enough in advance.

Last time I did this cleanse it was solely with the intention of losing weight. Little did I know I would benefit from other health benefits after I got past the symptoms of sugar withdrawals throughout the first week. My acne cleared up, I felt more energized, I slept better, and I happened to lose 15 pounds in one month!

Throughout my January experience I’ll be updating y’all on my successes and failures, as well as some tips and tricks on how I get through Whole 30.
